Where
is the City of Trenton’s "On Stage" speaker
series held?
The
answer to all of the above is, the Trenton Village Theatre,
a Downtown Trenton landmark that has been undergoing an enthusiastic
revitalization under the guidance of Dr. Noel Jackson, a Trenton
dentist who serves as president of DYPAC, the Downriver Youth
Performing Arts Center.
DYPAC
has called the Trenton Village Theatre home since the late
1990s, taking over a timeworn facility that was in need of
extensive renovation to make it viable once again. Dr. Jackson
and DYPAC have accomplished that and much, much more, as you
can see by the dramatic transformation that has taken place
with the building’s exterior. The transformation on
the inside of the 350-seat facility is no less dramatic. The
melding of modern technology with this historic setting has
produced a venue that is not only popular for stage shows,
but a variety of other parties and events as well.
Along
with staging its own productions, DYPAC makes the theater
available to other groups and organizations on a rental basis.
